This page covers the iPhone game Echo Tide, made by North Adapt LTD (“North Adapt”, “we”, “us”). Our website and company are covered by our main privacy notice and terms.

Privacy notice

The short version

Echo Tide doesn’t need an account and doesn’t ask for your name, email or other personal details.
Your progress and settings are kept on your iPhone and, if iCloud is turned on, in your own iCloud account. North Adapt can’t see or access them.
Echo Tide doesn’t show ads, doesn’t track you and doesn’t send personal data to North Adapt or anyone else.

What data is involved

Apart from crash reports, North Adapt doesn’t receive any data from Echo Tide.

Children

Echo Tide is designed to be suitable for players of all ages. We follow the ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code: high privacy settings by default and no nudges to share more data.

Your choices and rights

Delete your progress: delete Echo Tide from your iPhone, then remove its data in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.

You also have rights under UK data protection law, described in our main privacy notice, including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Terms of use

Your licence

Echo Tide is available only through Apple’s App Store for iPhone. When you download it, you get a licence to use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You don’t own the game itself. Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Please don’t copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer Echo Tide, except where the law allows it.

Your progress

Your progress is saved on your iPhone and in your iCloud account, not by North Adapt. If iCloud is turned off, progress is saved on that iPhone only and can be lost if you delete the game or lose the device. We can’t see, restore or transfer saves for you.

Your consumer rights

If you live in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you legal rights. Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn’t, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. If faulty digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content, and we failed to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. We are not liable for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your home country.
